1914 Ford® Model T Fire Engine
A True Collector’s Gem!

Fire Departments Join the Motorized Age.
In the years between 1910 and 1920 fire departments in cities throughout the
United States faced a major challenge. A team of horses could not provide the
speed needed to cover the rapidly growing urban centers. Ford did not build fire
engines at this time, but independent custom coach makers found that the Ford
engine and chassis provided the dependability and speed needed to come up with
the most advanced firefighting equipment of the era.
